“Never mind the “how” of these things. We have a God who can do great things, and we may depend upon Him to do whatever He undertakes.”

One of my favourite books in the Bible. Job lost everything and his faith was tested. Satan thought he would crumble but Job’s faith didn’t falter.

We serve a faithful God. There’s a reason for everything. Don’t give up because your situation does not make sense. He is an intentional God. In the end, He gave Job even more than what he had lost.

All we need to do is to surrender our heart and let Him take the wheel - His will over ours... all the time.

The joy of the Lord is your strength.

Which makes it SO clear that the things that God blesses us with are inconsequential as soon as we place them above Him. They become inconsequential as soon as they become what we strive for in lieu of seeking His face all the days of our life.

The verse continues:

“So if we have enough food and clothing, let us be content. But people who long to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows.” ‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭6:8-10‬

Woke up with such a strong bout of anxiety this mo

Woke up with such a strong bout of anxiety this morning and then I remembered, you’re not alone. You never are.

In the past, I would’ve chosen to stay rooted in my anxiety. But now, I know who to turn to. I still have a choice: wallow in my brokenness or take it to Him.

We’re not meant to stay stuck in our trials and pain.

"But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed” 2 Corinthians 4:7-9

“Yes, everything else is worthless when compared

“Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ and become one with him. I no longer count on my own righteousness through obeying the law; rather, I become righteous through faith in Christ. For God’s way of making us right with himself depends on faith.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭3:8-9‬
